The Emerald Necklace trail system in Petawawa begins at the Petawawa River. It accommodates a variety of users — strollers, serious hikers, cyclers and even snowmobilers.
In Pembroke, you can saunter along the riverbanks on the Millennium Boardwalk (2,000 boards to celebrate the year 2000); or cycle or walk a two-kilometre ribbon that connects our park system.
In either community, you’ll find a wealth of green space, interpretive kiosks, bandshells and amphitheatres and even outdoor chapels and reflective areas.
